Parrots We Breed

Congo African Grey Parrots can live for about 35 to 60 years in captivity They are famous for their impressive vocabularies. A well-known African Grey named Alex was trained at the University of Arizona to solve problems at the level of a 3-year-old child. With dedicated training, thesets can amaze you with their intelligence. While they are remarkable animals they are best suited for more experienced bird owners due to their size.

Senegal parrots are an excellent choice for those looking to get their first parrot. They are reasonably priced and relatively easy to care for. These wonderful pets can learn to talk and have a lifespan of 25 to 50 years in captivity. However, be prepared for their vocalizations, as they can be quite loud, but they are also known to be affectionate companions.

Eastern Rosellas are stunning parrots known for their vibrant colors and charming nature. They make excellent pets in the current market, though they are becoming increasingly rare. These birds thrive in large aviaries and enjoy being out and handled, especially if they are comfortable in their environment. In captivity, they can live for 15 to 20 years.

The Lutino Princess of Wales is an exceptionally rare parrot native to Australia, making them quite hard to find in Canada despite their stunning appearance. They are related to the Australian Red-Winged King Parrots we currently have in our aviary and share a similar temperament. While they not talk as well as Indian Ringnecks, they can easily mimic sounds and whistles. Both male and female birds showcase vibrant colors, though the male displays more vivid blue on his head and rump, has longer tail feathers, and features a coral beak. These birds typically live for 15-30 years in captivity, making them an ideal pet for those seeking a calm, intelligent, and beautiful companion.

Pastel Lovebirds are charming little birds known for their strong bonds with their owners. Unlike the more common peach-faced lovebirds, Pastel Lovebirds showcase a variety of exotic colors. They are slightly smaller than conures, making them a manageable size. While they do have a stronger bite compared to budgies or cockatiels, they can still make wonderful pets if you establish boundaries early on. With proper care, they can live for 15 to 20 years in captivity.

While males tend to have a greater talking ability than females, both genders make excellent one-on-one. In captivity, they have a lifespan of 10-15 years and are known to be good breeders. Often referred to as pocket parrots, these charming little birds are a delightful addition to any home.

However, it's important to note that their lifespan in captivity is than one might expect, ranging from 8 to 12 years.

Our upcoming pair will include a pallid green female and a cinnamon blue male, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our aviary this spring!

Ideal for beginners, they are smaller than conures and just a bit larger than budgies. With proper adult supervision, they can also make great companions for children. In summary, these delightful birds have a lifespan of 15-20 years.

Indian Ringnecks are remarkable birds known their impressive vocabularies that can entertain any audience. As one of the largest parakeet species, they possess vibrant personalities that reflect their size. They thrive on interaction and enjoy being around their human companions. With their lively nature, these medium-sized birds can bring happiness to nearly anyone. In captivity, they typically live for about 20 to 30 years. At our aviary, we currently have one pair available.

Princess of Wales Parrots are VERY RARE Parrots that are native to Australia. They are very difficult to find in Canada despite their obvious beauty. They are a cousin of the Australian Red Winged King Parrots that we currently have in our aviary, and have a similar disposition to them. Although their talking ability is not as great as the Indian Ringneck, they can mimic noises and whistles very easily. They are birds that are calm and make great pets. Both the male and female of this breed have amazing colours, but they are sexually dimorphic. The male has more prominent blue on his head and rump, longer tail feathers, and a coral beak, but otherwise they are the same. These birds live approximately 15-30 years in captivity. Overall, this bird would be a great pet for someone looking for a parrot that is not super high energy, but is intelligent and beautiful.

These birds are also quite quiet, making them suitable for apartment living. Currently, we have one pair available at the aviary, specifically a lutino pair.

Red rump parakeets are stunning birds that serve as excellent starter pets for both novice and seasoned bird owners. Hailing from the grasslands of Australia, they boast vibrant colors. These parakeets are relatively quiet, making them ideal for apartment living. Additionally, they are easily trainable and can mimic various sounds and melodies, with a lifespan of approximately 12-15 years in captivity.

Yellow Turquoisines are stunning Australian parakeets typically found grasslands. Their vibrant colors surpass those of the standard Turquoisine, making them highly sought after. However, they are challenging to find in captivity due to breeding difficulties, and those manage to breed them often do not sell to the public. With their gentle and calm personalities, they make excellent starter birds that appear more exotic than a typical budgie Overall, these birds are fantastic companions and are definitely worth considering for any bird enthusiast.

Rosey Bourkes are highly favored parakeets among bird enthusiasts due to their gentle personalities, making them an excellent choice as a first pet for children. They seldom bite, and when they do, it is and mild. These birds are quite calm, making them ideal for apartment living. In captivity, they typically live for about 8 to 12 years.

Diamond Doves hold the title of the smallest members of the dove family Known for their gentle nature, they make excellent companions in aviaries coexisting harmoniously with other birds. In captivity, charming birds can live around 7 to 12 years and are easy to breed. However, their popularity among bird enthusiasts tends to vary, which can sometimes make them hard to find.

We offer hatching eggs from May to September and also hatch our own. Our varieties include Tuxedo, White, Silver, Brown, and Splash. These little birds grow to the size of an apple and are well-suited for aviary floors. While their flying skills are limited, they can jump over 6 feet, so it's important to provide them with a safe environment.
